Pitt Farm – town and country B&B

At Pitt Farm Sue and George Hansford are busy working farmers, caring for around 200 acres of the East Devon countryside about 170 cattle and approximately 200 sheep. As well as running the farm they have welcomed visitors from miles around to enjoy their bed and breakfast hospitality for more than 25 years.

Take your pick from one of the six rooms. If you are a couple then there are twin and double rooms. If your family is little larger then there are two family rooms available. Travelling alone? No problem, one person can use either of the twin rooms. There’s loads of space for car parking too.

Why not take an early morning stroll across the fields to the River Tale? This delightful little river splashes its way across the fields close to Pitt Farm before joining the River Otter at Cadhay Bridge. There are loads of other winding footpaths to explore, Sue is happy to give you advice on the best ones to try out for the time of year.

The Devon air sure makes you feel hungry, so on your return Sue is ready with a full farmhouse breakfast made from the best local produce. Bacon? Eggs? Sausages? Toast? Cereal? What would you like today? Whatever your requirements, within reason, you can have it.

Surrounded by fields and magnificent scenery the beautiful 16th century thatched Devon farmhouse offers a choice of comfortable rooms. Pitt Farm is very convenient, easy to get to from the A30 junction at Patteson’s Cross and only a mile from Ottery St Mary. It’s an ideal base to explore the area from.
