If you are looking for a Devon cottage holiday then The Willows could be just the place for you. Why not enjoy life at a leisurely pace in this beautiful cottage?
A comfortable, cosy cottage that sleeps 4, plus a cot for a baby. As you can see from the picture, it's a stone building. The central heating keeps it warm and toasty in the winter and cool and comfortable in the summer. It's a great place to stay at any time of year.
It's in a lovely situation, close to the river and very handy for Axminster about half a mile away. You can enjoy views of the River Axe from the first floor or you can nip out for a spot of fishing (you'll need an NRA license though).
This spacious two bedroom cottage is just the place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The buildings around it are part of the historic Weycroft Mill site, which is a Grade II listed building dating from the 18th Century.
The Willows is very well equipped with lots of home comforts, including a TV and DVD player, fully fitted out kitchen with electric cooker, fridge and microwave. The wooden beams and original stone walls add to the character. If you fancy sitting outside you'll enjoy the decked patio and large garden.
A huge benefit, and one that I think is really helpful, is that all the bedding and linen is provided for you at no extra cost. That really helps to cut down on the luggage as well as the price.
Prices are extremely reasonable for such a conveniently located property. The Willows is available all year round, so you can enjoy this lovely area in all four seasons. Whether you are a couple looking for a short break or a small family wanting to spend time visiting a fascinating area you'll love it here. This being England the weather isn't always quite what you could wish for but you'll be very comfortable.
The surrounding countryside is amazing. Only about five miles away from the beach at Seaton this is a perfect position for exploring Devon, Dorset and Somerset. You'll enjoy the relaxing walks along the lanes and footpaths, fresh sea air on the beach, quaint country churches, delicious food from nearby pubs and River Cottage, interesting shops and fun days out.
Axminster is famous for its carpet industry and has a nice little street market once a week on Thursdays. You'll also enjoy the many independent shops in the town. It makes a nice change to find something other than the big chains.
